As a market leader in logistics services for the Life Science & Healthcare industry, DHL Supply Chain is looking for an experienced Account Development Manager who is familiar with managing and further developing a strategic customer portfolio in the Netherlands.

Place in the organization

In this role you report to the Commercial Director Life Sciences & Healthcare. The LS&H team consists of an experienced group of Account Development Managers Managers, and Business Development Managers. You will also work closely with the Site Managers of the sites in Nijmegen, who manage the logistics operations.

You are going to do this

As Account Development Manager you are responsible for the management and further development of existing customer contracts. You independently manage a portfolio of over 10  clients that are mainly active in the Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and various other Healthcare sub-sectors. The Decision Making Unit of your clients is primarily located in Benelux, Switzerland, UK & Ireland, the United States.

Building on a good operational knowledge, you will conduct strategic consultations with your accounts. In this position you report directly to the Commercial Director LSHC and you have colleague Account Development Managers who are responsible for the other accounts in the Benelux.

This is you

From a managerial operational role or previous commercial positions you have gained extensive experience in Account Management and/or Sales within a complex supply chain environment. You are an experienced networker with a thorough knowledge of the logistics market and you have a strong track record. You are a generalist, sensitive, patient, flexible, decisive, creative in solutions, you can work well together and have great powers of persuasion. You are a good negotiator and do not need any encouragement to take action. In fact, you are a driving force with guts who knows how to conclude a commercial agreement. You have a strong performance drive and want to be at the top by nature. Given the senior nature of the position, effective communication is no problem at all for you and you are ready to work closely and in full alignment with diverse functions including but not limited to Solutions Design, Finance, HR, Quality Assurance, Health and Safety, IT, Project Management, Operational Excellence and others .

Furthermore, you have at least one...

- A Master's degree or equivalent, preferably in a logistics or business administration field;

- A minimum of 6 years of commercial experience within a Supply Chain environment or in more complex services;

- Excellent oral and written skills in Dutch and English;

- Knowledge of  Life Sciences and Healthcare industry/operations would be an asset

- Fulltime availability and preferably living in the vicinity of Nijmegen.
